I responded to an ad that had this in it:
Task:
– testing a computer road navigation system.
– making conversation about road navigation with a computer system.
So from 4:30-6:30 on Monday I’m going to go see what that means and make 10000 yen. In my mind I had built it up to mean that I would be driving around a track. I’ve never driven around a track, and I was excited. I was happy to get the job. I told them my international driver’s license had run out, and they said no problem, but now that I look at the job details again, It’s right in Shinjuku, so I’m afraid it’s going to be some sort of simulation. We’ll see on Monday.

Thanks, Deanna. So you’re coming to Asia again? All right!
